An epidemic of Rx abuse

I have old chinese food sitting atop my computer desk--surf and turf combo that I put into my $1.00 baseball bowl. That's right. $1.00. It was a bargain; possibly one of the best bargains I've come across, ever.

And then there's this: Sudy: Prescription Abuse Doubles Since 1992

Perhaps it's because everything there is to do in this country costs an arm and a leg. Going to the movies, a simple idea to fill time, costs approximately $20.00 with purchase of ticket and whatever snacks one would like to consume.

$20.00 for 1.5 hours of amusement. Does it seem worth it? Not in my eyes it doesn't. Take that same $20.00 and put it towards black market Rx pills which cost approximately $5.00/pill. You can get 4 pills, and have approximately 6 hours of mind-numbing amusement. Or, take that same $20.00 and put it towards a $20.00 sack of bud, and you have another entire night of entertainment. Hell, even if you bought up a $10.00 sack and spent the other $10.00 on snacks, you'd STILL get a better deal and longer entertainment.

And they wonder why teens and young adults (like myself) turn to drugs. It seems common sense. Plus, who wouldn't rather blaze one out than go to the bastard movies? Fuck the movies.

Law enforcement officials around the country have been wrestling with an epidemic of prescription drug abuse, especially of powerful pain killers like OxyContin, popularly known as "hillbilly heroin."

Hell yeah, OxyContin. <3<3<3<3

Just face it, America--the cost of drugs doesn't inflate, whereas the price of doing something gay like going bowling or going to the movies continually sky rockets. $3.50 for a tiny box of candy? Fuck you. $3.00 for water? Fuck you.

Don't act surprised at this 'epidemic', and don't act surprised when the number quadruples within the next 10 years. You fucks.
