I'm in the constant belief that boxing is stupid. It's not that two men in a squared-ring, punching each other for points is stupid -- it's the people that come to the event, dressed in tuxedos and evening gowns that are. These are the same people that sit in the 1st and 2nd rows -- great idea... I've seen quite a few boxing matches in my life, and what I can tell you is that people sitting in the front row usually get pelted with sweat and other 'liquids' -- it's like SeaWorld, only even more boring. So, basically, what these people are doing, is getting dressed up to sit in the front row, and have beads of sweat, spit and blood beaten off the boxer and delightfully transfered onto them, via jabs and hooks. Doesn't seem to make much sense to me. If you enjoy boxing; fine -- wear bastard sweatpants and a Mets t-shirt, so when you get spit on, it'd be meaningful and deserving.
